010389 - LOSSES OF THE US 8th and 9th AIR FORCES Volume 6: ETO Area - January 1945 - March 1945

This highly acclaimed series which has involved over 20 years of painstaking research for Stan to bring this project to fruition plus of course collaboration with the late John Hey and Gerrie Franken and Marco Cillessen based in the Netherlands.  Volume 7 should have been finished a couple of years ago but Stan has been unable to get this project to the finish line due to various factors including declining health and computer issues plus his good friend and technical help, Malcolm Osborn, has also been suffering with health issues.  We are still trying to find Stan the assistance he needs and keeping fingers and toes crossed that it will eventually be printed.

Each volume covers a period of three months and includes details of all Americans killed and also POW's flying from Europe in WWII with both the 8th and 9th Air Forces.  Includes operational and non operational losses.  Details include name of aircraft and crew, location, mission details, what happened and where, next of kin, where they were buried and where they are now.  

Volumes 3, 5 and 6 are currently available.  Unfortunately volumes 1, 2 and 4 are now out-of-print.  We have looked into re-printing but it will be very costly for small runs and would mean that the books would have to be retailed in excess of £100.00 each.  At present, Stan feels it would just be too expensive.
